Taiho Pharmaceutical Receives Platinum Kurumin Certification as a Good Supporter of Child-rearing
Taiho Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. announced today that it has received the Platinum Kurumin certification for supporting child-rearing from Japan’s Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare on January 13, 2017.
The Platinum Kurumin certification is bestowed on companies that had already received the Kurumin certification from Japan’s Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare for supporting child-rearing, which then went on to take their initiatives to an even high level.
Taiho Pharmaceutical has been striving to improve work-life balance for all employees by introducing a work-at-home scheme, establishing a promotion day for the use of paid leave (“Plus de Happy Holiday”) and a no-overtime day (“Self Care Day”).
Moreover, the company has developed an environment where employees can feel secure in building their careers and demonstrating their abilities to the fullest. The company’s efforts to support work-life balance include putting in place systems that exceed the legal requirements and the establishment of a career consultation office staffed by employees with qualifications as industrial counselors and career consultants. Many employees of all genders make use of these programs and resources.
Taiho Pharmaceutical will continue striving to build workplaces that are supportive of all employees, so that its entire workforce can participate actively in diverse workstyles suited to each person’s stage in life.
